About Rickshaw Rides

At Rickshaw Rides, we believe everyone deserves a little adventure, connection, and joy – no matter their age or background. Based in Chorley, Buckshaw, Leyland, and our neighbouring communities, our volunteer-run charity offers free rickshaw rides to residents of retirement villages, nursing homes, and schools, as well as to local events, businesses, and private individuals.

What started as a simple idea to brighten people’s days has grown into a heartwarming community project that brings people together, encourages conversation, and helps tackle loneliness in a fun and unique way. Each ride is powered by friendly volunteers who love meeting new faces and making memories along the way.

While our rides are always free, donations are gratefully received. Your support helps us keep the wheels turning so we can continue spreading smiles across our local communities.

Booking is simple! Just get in touch via our website or use our online contact form. Tell us a little about yourself, the type of ride you’re interested in, and your preferred date and time. We’ll do our best to make it happen!

No, our rides are completely free. We only ask for donations if people are able and wish to contribute — every penny helps us maintain our rickshaws and keep the service running.

Our Not-for-Profit CIC

We are a dedicated not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) operating across Chorley and Leyland. Every penny we make is reinvested into our social impact projects to benefit the local community.

Rickshaw Rides

Our flagship project, Rickshaw Rides, provides free journeys for care home residents, local school students, and community event attendees. We use these rides to combat social isolation and bring a sense of adventure to those who need it most.

Our Other Work
